Retro Friday

I love posting pictues and I found a Retro challenge on this blog, Hope Springs. Here is a picture of me and my brother. We were both very, very blond. I am now mousy headed and my brother is bald headed. Don't you love the wardrobe? My mother was lacking in the fashion world. You can kind of tell in the picture that my tights are a light blue with a lacy pattern, but you can't see the lovely brown shoes I was wearing At least my brother was sort of matching. I still think it's cute.

Red Threads

"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break." ~ Chinese Proverb

Ever since I saw Sophie I always believed that she was destined to be our daughter/sister. Well, I found the real connection. I was going over Sophie's paperwork and found out that her paperwork to register her for international adoption was completed 11/8/04 - 11/10/04. 11/8/04 I was in Beijing getting ready to get Maddie the next day. 11/9/04 is our Gotcha day for Maddie and 11/10/04 is her finalized adoption from the Chinese government. How awesome is that!!! I thought it was too cool.

Santa Baby

Hey Santa when you cross over China will you please stop at Dandong SWI in Liaoning and bring our Sophie home? I'm sure she won't be any bother. I'm sure there is some room on your sleigh. That's what we want for Christmas. Thanks. Love - Sophie's mom, dad, sister and brother.

LID!!!

We finally received our LID (log in date)! We were officially logged in on 11/17/06. This starts the official waiting clock so we have been waiting for 21 days for our travel approval. Right now the average wait time is 107, but some families just recently received TA's from our agency and they only waited 76 days. Hopefully we will be on the lower end of waiting as well.
